Naming the Camper!

After much discussion, Evan, Kelly and I came up with a name for our camper. We wanted an animal, one that is little and cute but also hardy and adventurous. We realized that a pika is the perfect animal to name the camper after, a little mountain dwelling lagomorpha. So now, we can call our camper, Pika!

Namesake

Continuing the front wall

Saturday morning we did a couple hours of work to add another wall section. We have been very lucky that we have gotten really nice weather for our work. We needed to go outside for this section to make sure we didn't gouge the garage door!

The weird shaped ribs turn into a weird shaped ladder.

Oh no, not a ladder, supports for the front of the camper.

Chop chop.

The back is framed and has the outside skin.

Insulation!

I get my attention to detail from my mom, she would have done an even better job filling in those little gaps.

The camper is wheeled out into the sun for the first time!

A lonely old curve hangs on the garage door.
Evan is carving it down to make it fit.

Yep! It's going to work!

It looks done to me! Look, I can even hide from the rain.

Looking good!
