Continuing the front wall

Saturday morning we did a couple hours of work to add another wall section. We have been very lucky that we have gotten really nice weather for our work. We needed to go outside for this section to make sure we didn't gouge the garage door!

The weird shaped ribs turn into a weird shaped ladder.

Oh no, not a ladder, supports for the front of the camper.

Chop chop.

The back is framed and has the outside skin.

Insulation!

I get my attention to detail from my mom, she would have done an even better job filling in those little gaps.

The camper is wheeled out into the sun for the first time!

A lonely old curve hangs on the garage door.
Evan is carving it down to make it fit.

Yep! It's going to work!

It looks done to me! Look, I can even hide from the rain.

Looking good!

  1. So it isn't too late to set it up to serve gourmet treats out of the side, right? How hard would it be to add that capability? Not THAT hard. You have those nice boxes.

    1. While building that side wall today I thought, uh oh, it's going to be awfully hard to get in and out of this side now! Maybe my camper doesn't need side walls?

    1. It definitely gives a silver lining to the injuries, instead of being mad that I hurt myself, I can be happy to add drama to the blog :)

  3. Looks like Ohio must be getting a huge influx of flies from the size of that flypaper on the garage door!

You know Evan, it's probably not a good idea to put your hand in direct line of a drill. Unless you are looking to increase your injury count, I guess. (Yes, I am assuming it is camera angle - don't tell me if not.)
